Dr. Amy Stark

Dr. Amy Stark

Dr. Amy Stark grew up in Deephaven and is excited to serve the community she knows and loves.  She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from St Olaf College and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota.  With a desire to expand her knowledge and technical skills, Dr. Stark completed a general practice dental residency at the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview.  Here, she worked with patients with a variety of dental needs and medical backgrounds.  In her second year, she was the Chief Resident of Dentistry for the University of Minnesota Medical Center.  Upon completion of her residency, she became an associate professor at the University and provided dental care in the operating room to those who could not receive care in a traditional clinic setting due to their complex medical backgrounds.  Now Dr. Stark’s primary focus is providing high-quality care in a comfortable manner to her patients at Excelsior Family Dental.  It’s important to Dr. Stark to build relationships with patients, ease anxieties, and educate patients about their oral health.

Dr. Stark enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has additional training in the dental management of sleep apnea, Invisalign (clear braces), and Botox (for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes).  She is an active member of the Minnesota Dental Association, Minneapolis District Dental Society, and the American Dental Association.  She also participates in local dental study clubs.

When away from the office, Dr. Stark enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, getting outside, cooking/baking, and gardening.
